McAfee Inc. said Tuesday it formed a new business unit focused on information technology governance, risk and compliance.
The Santa Clara-based security technology company (NYSE:MFE) said the new unit will focus on “driving innovation and extending McAfee’s security risk management business.”
CEO DaveDeWalt said governance, risk and compliance “is a rapidly growing and continuously evolving part of our industry. Formation of the McAfee Risk and Compliance Business Unit positions us well to leverage our compliance expertise and build on our strengths to simplify the Enterprise challenges in this important area.”
The unit will be led by George Kurtz, company senior vice president and general manager.
